Introduce yourself? Hometown? Where do you currently reside? 1 fun fact about yourself?

Hi! My name is Raimundo. I had lived all my life in Santiago, except 1 year and a half in Edinburgh. Don’t know if it’s a fun fact, but I’m a co-founder of Fake Rolex.

What is your most played track?

Describe the vibe of your ideal party? Space? Smell? Drinks? Anything you can think of 😉

I would say a small crowd in a nice backyard and some sparkling red lights. I love the smell of flowers and grass recently watered. A nice sound system and anything the guests would like to drink and eat.

Dream b2b?

I always dream to play next Move D.

Ideal booth set up?

I’m a fan of Allen&Heath mixers. The rest doesn’t matter too much. A booth with interior plants would be beautiful too.

Guilty pleasure track?

Can’t handle hit

Advice to beginning djs?

I am a bedroom DJ with a few gigs, so that counts as a beginner. First, don’t rush, then listen and download music as much as you can, then organize it following vibe and sound criteria rather than genre and last practice as much as you can with friends.

Describe the best dj/live set you have seen this year?

I was at first row listening to Matthew Herbert while he was playing his most beautiful tracks among other house hits. I was stunned. Big shout to Shanti Celeste at NoaNoa too.

Most underrated artist at the moment?

Can’t choose one: JS, Unfinished Portraits, Diamin, and a friend of mine Agustín Silva.

What is your prediction on the next music genre re-vamp 2020?

80´ synth pop

Fav club drink?

Campari/tonic….actually anything bitter.

Favorite DJ trick?

When mixing I like to use at minimum the low frequencies for several minutes so the mix goes unnoticed and the slowly retake normal levels. Sometimes I use Hot Cues and a lot of crossfaders. I like to stay classy 🙂

Describe the first moment where you had an epiphany about your love for music?

Crossing Scotland in winter by car when I was 7 and suddenly by an act of magic, I was singing the music in the background in a language that I just starting to learn: Bjork, Sundays, The Cure and more.

DJ dream of yours?

Will love to play in rare venues in cities that I don´t know yet (MEXICO!). I probably would like to get to know many of the DJs and producers that are featured in Fake Rolex.

Any advice about what to do with free time during this moment of social distancing?

I would highly recommend stare to the ceiling and breathe deep while you think nice memories of yours, don’t overwhelm with news and info, and if you haven’t got the chance to listen to Motion Ward and West Mineral you may will, they are astonishing ambient labels that will bring you peace. Spend time with your pets.

What would you like to see in the future for the dance community?

More events at daylight, an equal share of space in all sense between male/female/other diversities, more and more collabs between people around the globe, fewer pills more mushrooms haha.

NoaNoa Club (www.instagram.com/noanoa.club/?hl=es-la), that at this moment not only is it suffering the economic consequences of the closure forced by the pandemic, but it is also going through a bad moment as a result of the club’s proximity to the nerve center of the protests that have been taking place since October last year in our country.
