Introduce yourself? Where do you currently reside?
I’m David, originally from Barcelona and living in Amsterdam since 2022.
I consider myself a very simple person, most of the time in the studio making music or meeting my cute friends. Occasional enjoyer of any type of audiovisual product.
Describe your favorite way to listen to music?
There is none, it really depends on the time/moment/situation. I do something that I consider very important and not many people do nowadays (or at least that is my feeling) — listening to music as a primary and only activity, sitting on my couch looking at the monitors and enjoying their outcome. Magnificent way of connecting to the sound instead of having it in the background while doing something else, or digging and skipping tracks to find the best one.
Mix you have been listening to on repeat?
If you could go b2b with anyone dead, living, or fantasy – who would it be and why?
I would pick a friend. I had big fun playing with denial last year, or at any time with Carles, 50% of my other music project Iro Aka. I must confess I’m more into playing by myself lately, but this feeling comes and goes.
I also believe one fundamental part of playing is having fun and connecting with what you are doing. If someone I really like/admire is playing next to me, I wouldn’t be able to fully live that moment I guess?? So I’d rather listen to them on the dancefloor.
Best drink pre-gig?
Just a casual beer, not many in order to perform decently haha
What is the last recipe you made?
Tortilla de Patatas (Spanish — look for it if you don’t know it, I’m sure it will ring a bell)

If you had to assign your mix a movie genre, what would it be and why?
I’m gonna pick a TV format, I find it more suitable: Reality show — The mix is inspired by some of my years enjoying the parties of Ibiza around the late 00’s/early 10’s. Despite not liking reality shows, the crazy aspect of them feels somehow connected to the madness of the white island back in the day.
Favorite gig you have played in recent memory?
noclubs last April — probably my favorite party.
One track to cry to?
Favorite smell that you associate with after-hours?
I’m not sure this is something that people can relate to with a specific smell, but I’m gonna say concrete.
DJ Travel tip?
Bring a powerful power bank that can charge your laptop fully up to 2 times and make music on the plane 🙂
Tell me about this mix?
The world is quite fucked lately, so I tend to take music less deeply or seriously.
It should be something to bring people together and have a good time, and the tracks I included are mainly old tracks that give me that vibe.

F — Deschool (gold era).
M — Forever in my heart, l’Atlántida (Sitges) during the 00’s/early 10’s (again haha). It was the most beautiful, soulful and fun club on the coast of Spain, insane lineups on Thursdays.
K — Any EDM/Reggaeton club.
What would you like to see in the future musically within yourself and others?
I would love to get back to when the music was the most important part of doing anything related to it, like producing or DJing; instead of the social media game, showing up, or creating stupid viral stuff.
The world changed and I believe the above is nearly impossible, but something close to it would be highly appreciated.
